Apocalypse a go-go

In the Iconic film Apocalypse Now, a temporary breakdown of the army regulations occurs when dancers are helicoptered in to perform to the troops, the barrier between the dancers and the soldiers snap, the soldiers storm the stage, the performance comes to an abrupt halt and never materialises.

Like the dancers in Apocalypse Now, the performers in Apocalypse a go-go came to perform a dance that never really happened. Two teenage girls play on a London roof top, performing to an imaginary audience in their own private world.

One of the performers dances alone with the soundtrack of the subconscious ramblings of a soldier caught in the jungle. He imagines himself in Paris making Mango cream puddings for Rachel Welsh, emphasising a vicarious hold on reality for both the solider and the teenage girl.
